Best known for Immune balance — one of the gentlest peptides going

What Is It?

Thymosin Alpha-1 is a naturally occurring peptide originally derived from the thymus gland — the organ that trains your immune system. It plays a key role in regulating immune function, particularly by activating T-cells, boosting natural killer cell activity, and improving how well your body responds to infection, inflammation and cellular stress.

Who May Benefit?

People tend to reach for Thymosin Alpha-1 for:

  • Getting sick more often than they used to
  • Autoimmune tendencies or immune dysregulation
  • Chronic low-grade inflammation
  • Post-viral fatigue
  • Feeling wiped out after an illness and not bouncing back
  • Recovery after surgery or a long stretch of stress

Benefits

  • Supports a strong and balanced immune response
  • Increases T-cell and NK cell activity — your front-line defense
  • Helps the body handle viral and bacterial challenges more efficiently
  • May reduce chronic low-grade inflammation
  • Faster recovery from illness, stress or surgery
  • Often used for autoimmune support
  • Many people report better energy and general wellness

How It Works

The important word here is modulating, not stimulating. Thymosin Alpha-1 helps your immune system respond when it needs to, while helping prevent it from over-reacting. That's exactly why it's a favourite for people with autoimmune tendencies — the goal isn't a louder immune system, it's a smarter one.

What to Expect

Most people describe this one as quiet. You're generally not chasing a feeling — you're noticing, a few weeks in, that you didn't catch what went through the house, or that you got over something in three days instead of ten.

Some people feel a temporary "immune activation" sensation on injection day — a bit of warmth, a mild ache, like the body is working. That's typically normal.

Commonly run 8–12 weeks, then cycled as needed.

💛 T's Tip

This is the one I reach for when someone tells me they catch everything going around, babe. It's easily one of the lowest side-effect peptides I know of, which makes it a lovely place to start if you're nervous about all of this. Don't expect to feel it — that's not what this one does. Twenty units twice a week is the sweet spot for most people, and if you get a little tired or achy on injection day, that's your immune system doing its job, not a problem. If you've got autoimmune stuff going on, this is one to talk to your provider about first — it modulates rather than revs, but that conversation is worth having. 💛 — T

Mixing

Add 2 mL BAC water to the 10 mg vial. Slowly down the inside wall, swirl gently until clear — never shake — and refrigerate.

At this mix, 1 unit = 50 mcg, so 20 units = 1 mg.

Dosing (not medical advice)

Dose Amount to draw Units
0.5 mg 0.10 mL 10 units
1.0 mg 0.20 mL 20 units
1.5 mg 0.30 mL 30 units
2.0 mg 0.40 mL 40 units

Most common protocols:

Goal Dose Frequency
Kickstart / immune boost 1 mg (20 units) 2–3× weekly
Active illness / post-viral / flare 1–1.5 mg (20–30 units) 2–3× weekly
Autoimmune / inflammation stabilizing 0.5–1 mg (10–20 units) 2× weekly
Maintenance 1 mg (20 units) 1× weekly

Example schedules: Monday + Thursday, 20 units each. Or Monday / Wednesday / Friday, 20 units each. Or once-weekly maintenance at 20 units.

Typical run: 8–12 weeks, then reassess.

How Long Will One Vial Last?

One 10 mg vial (200 total units):

Dose Doses per vial
0.5 mg (10 units) 20 doses
1 mg (20 units) 10 doses
1.5 mg (30 units) ~6–7 doses

At 20 units twice weekly, one vial covers about 5 weeks.

Side Effects

Known for being one of the lowest side-effect peptides. Rare reports include:

  • Slight fatigue on the day of injection
  • Mild injection site soreness
  • A temporary "immune activation" feeling — warmth or a mild ache

Generally very well tolerated.

Storage

Refrigerate the reconstituted vial (36–46°F / 2–8°C). Don't shake it. Swab the stopper each time and use a fresh sterile syringe.

Helpful Tips

  • Inject sub-Q in the belly or thigh
  • Consistency matters more than dose size with this one
  • Twice weekly is plenty for most people
  • Rotate injection sites
  • If you have autoimmune conditions, loop in your provider before starting

FAQ

Can I combine this with my other peptides? Using more than one peptide is common and perfectly fine — but different peptides should not be combined in the same syringe. A few technically can be mixed, but they don't always play well together, and in some cases they can work against each other, so you lose the benefit of both. It isn't worth the guesswork. Keep each peptide in its own syringe — you can still take them in the same sitting, one right after another. When in doubt, keep them separate.

I don't feel anything. Is it working? Probably — this one isn't meant to be felt. It shows up as what doesn't happen: fewer bugs, shorter illnesses, better bounce-back.

Is it safe with autoimmune conditions? It's frequently used for exactly that, because it modulates rather than overstimulates. That said, autoimmune is precisely the situation where you want your own provider in the loop first.

Why am I tired the day I inject? Mild fatigue or a warm achy feeling on injection day is a commonly reported and typically normal response. It passes.

What does it stack well with? Commonly used alongside Glutathione, NAD+, BPC-157, VIP and KPV — in separate syringes.

A Little Reminder

This isn't about perfection, it's about consistency. This is a quiet peptide doing quiet work, and quiet work still counts. You're not lazy and you're not broken. I'm really glad you're here. 💛
