Quick Facts

Vial 10 mg
Mix with 2 mL BAC water
How often As needed — not daily
Class Melanocortin receptor agonist
Best known for Desire and arousal, through the nervous system

What Is It?

PT-141 is a peptide used to support sexual arousal and libido in both men and women. The important distinction: it works through the central nervous system, not through hormones. It isn't a hormone replacement and it isn't a blood-flow drug — it acts on desire itself, upstream of everything else.

Who May Benefit?

People tend to reach for PT-141 for:

  • Low libido or low desire
  • Arousal that doesn't arrive even when the wanting is there
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Sexual arousal disorder
  • Situations where hormone levels are fine but desire isn't

Benefits

  • Increased sexual desire
  • Enhanced arousal
  • Works for both men and women
  • Acts through the nervous system rather than hormones
  • Doesn't require daily use

How It Works

Most things aimed at sexual function work on plumbing — blood flow. PT-141 works on the brain instead, on the melanocortin system that governs desire. That's why it can help in situations where the mechanics are fine but the wanting isn't there.

What to Expect

Take it 30–60 minutes before sexual activity. Works best on an empty stomach or after a light meal.

Some people experience facial flushing or nausea, especially at higher doses — which is exactly why starting low matters here.

⚠️ Important Limits

This one has real ceilings, and they aren't suggestions:

  • Maximum 2 mg in any 24-hour period
  • Wait at least 72 hours between doses
  • Do not exceed 8 doses per month
  • Not for daily use

💛 T's Tip

This is an as-needed one, love, not a daily one — and the limits on it matter more than with almost anything else I carry, so please read them twice. Start at 5 units. I mean it. Everybody's instinct is to go straight to a bigger dose and the only thing that gets you is a flushed face and a queasy stomach at exactly the wrong moment. Five units, 45 minutes ahead, on a mostly empty stomach, and see how you do before you ever consider more. And one thing worth saying plainly: PT-141 works on desire, not on emotional closeness. If what's missing is connection rather than drive, oxytocin is the conversation we should be having instead. 💛 — T

Mixing

Add 2 mL BAC water to the 10 mg vial. Slowly down the inside wall, swirl gently until clear — never shake — and refrigerate.

At this mix, 1 unit = 50 mcg, so 20 units = 1 mg.

Dosing (not medical advice)

Dose Amount to draw
250 mcg 5 units
500 mcg 10 units
1 mg 20 units
2 mg 40 units

Starting dose: 250–500 mcg (5–10 units).

Typical range: 0.5–2 mg (10–40 units).

Maximum: 2 mg in a 24-hour period.

Timing: 30–60 minutes before sexual activity, as needed.

Frequency: at least 72 hours between doses. No more than 8 doses per month.

How Long Will One Vial Last?

One 10 mg vial (200 total units):

Dose Doses per vial
250 mcg (5 units) 40 doses
500 mcg (10 units) 20 doses
1 mg (20 units) 10 doses
2 mg (40 units) 5 doses

Since this is capped at 8 doses per month, a vial at 10 units lasts well over two months.

Side Effects

  • Facial flushing — the most common by far
  • Nausea, especially at higher doses
  • Headache
  • Injection site irritation

Starting low is the single best way to avoid both flushing and nausea.

Storage

Refrigerate the reconstituted vial (36–46°F / 2–8°C). Don't shake it. Swab the stopper each time and use a fresh sterile syringe.

Helpful Tips

  • Inject sub-Q in the belly or thigh
  • Start at 5 units and only move up once you know how you respond
  • Works best on an empty stomach or after a light meal
  • Allow 30–60 minutes
  • Respect the 72-hour gap and the 8-doses-a-month ceiling
  • Rotate injection sites

FAQ

Can I combine this with my other peptides? Using more than one peptide is common and perfectly fine — but different peptides should not be combined in the same syringe. A few technically can be mixed, but they don't always play well together, and in some cases they can work against each other, so you lose the benefit of both. It isn't worth the guesswork. Keep each peptide in its own syringe — you can still take them in the same sitting, one right after another. When in doubt, keep them separate.

PT-141 or oxytocin? They do genuinely different jobs. PT-141 increases desire and arousal. Oxytocin fosters emotional closeness and receptiveness. If what's missing is drive, PT-141. If what's missing is connection, oxytocin. For some people, working on the emotional side first is what makes the rest feel natural.

Can I take it every day? No. This is an as-needed peptide with hard limits: 72 hours minimum between doses, no more than 8 doses a month, maximum 2 mg in 24 hours.

My face went red. Very common. Start lower next time — flushing tracks closely with dose.

Does it affect my hormones? No. It works through the central nervous system, not hormonally.

Does it work for women? Yes — it's used by both men and women.

A Little Reminder

This isn't about perfection, it's about consistency — and with this one, it's also about respecting the limits. Wanting to feel like yourself again isn't vanity, and it isn't something to be embarrassed about asking me about. You're not lazy and you're not broken. I'm really glad you're here. 💛
