Class Mitochondrial-derived peptide (MDP)
Best known for Cellular energy — without jitters

What Is It?

MOTS-C is a naturally occurring peptide found in your mitochondria — often called the "cellular energy optimizer." It helps your body improve how it uses glucose and fatty acids for fuel. People reach for it for metabolic function, fat loss, stamina, anti-aging support, and mental clarity.

Who May Benefit?

People tend to choose MOTS-C for:

  • Slow metabolism or insulin resistance
  • Stubborn fat despite eating well
  • Low energy / fatigue
  • An athletic plateau or overtraining recovery
  • Mental fog or lack of motivation
  • Anti-aging and longevity

Benefits

  • Increases energy levels and cellular stamina
  • Enhances metabolic function and fat burning
  • Improves glucose sensitivity and insulin response
  • May support muscle performance and exercise endurance
  • Possible cognitive lift — mental clarity, mood, motivation
  • Anti-aging cellular effects (mitochondria support + repair)
  • May reduce inflammation and oxidative stress

How It Works

MOTS-C comes from your mitochondria — the little engines inside your cells — and helps them do their job better: pulling in glucose and fat and turning it into usable energy. That's why the effect shows up as steady energy and better metabolic function rather than a stimulant buzz.

What to Expect

Most people feel MOTS-C as increased energy + a mood lift, without jitters. Most report the biggest benefits after 3–6 weeks. Note: it does not suppress appetite — which is exactly why it pairs so well with GLP-1s.

💛 T's Tip

MOTS-C is my energy peptide, love — and the best part is there's no jittery crash to it. It won't touch your appetite, so it plays beautifully alongside your TZ or Reta. Start at 10 units and be patient; this is a 3-to-6-week payoff, not a next-day one. If the first dose or two makes you a little tired, that's normal and it passes as your body adapts. 💛 — T

Mixing

Add 2 mL BAC water to the 20 mg vial. Run it gently down the side, swirl (don't shake) until clear, and refrigerate.

At this mix, 1 mg = 10 units.

Dosing (not medical advice)

Gentle titration — start low and listen to your body:

Week Dose Units Notes
Week 1 1 mg 10 units Starting dose — assess tolerance
Week 2 1–2 mg 10–20 units Stay low or increase slightly
Week 3 2 mg 20 units Begin building effect
Week 4 2–3 mg 20–30 units Increase only if feeling good
Week 5 3–4 mg 30–40 units Noticeable energy/metabolic shift
Week 6+ 4–5 mg 40–50 units Full working dose range

Frequency: 1–3× per week depending on goals and tolerance.

How Long Will One Vial Last?

One 20 mg vial (200 total units):

Dose Doses per vial
1 mg (10 units) 20 doses
2 mg (20 units) 10 doses
3 mg (30 units) ~6–7 doses
5 mg (50 units) 4 doses

At 2 mg twice weekly, one vial covers about 5 weeks.

Side Effects

Most report little to none, but possible:

  • Mild flushing or warmth
  • Temporary headache
  • Fatigue on the first 1–2 doses
  • Muscle tightness or soreness
  • Rare: nausea or irritability

(Usually improves as the body adapts.)

Storage

Refrigerate the reconstituted vial (36–46°F / 2–8°C). Swab the stopper each time, use a fresh sterile syringe, keep out of light.

Helpful Tips

  • Best injected sub-Q in the stomach area
  • Give it 3–6 weeks before judging it
  • Pairs well with GLP-1s since it doesn't touch appetite
  • Rotate injection sites

FAQ

Can I combine this with my other peptides? Using more than one peptide is common and perfectly fine — but different peptides should not be combined in the same syringe. A few technically can be mixed, but they don't always play well together, and in some cases they can work against each other, so you lose the benefit of both. It isn't worth the guesswork. Keep each peptide in its own syringe — you can still take them in the same sitting, one right after another. When in doubt, keep them separate.

What does it stack well with? MOTS-C is commonly used alongside GLP-1s (TZ/Sema/Reta), AOD-9604, CJC-1295/Ipamorelin, NAD+, SS-31, BPC-157/TB-500, and Tesamorelin — in separate syringes.

Will it suppress my appetite? No — and that's a feature. It's an energy and metabolic peptide, which is why it complements the appetite peptides so well.

I felt tired after my first dose. Is that normal? Yes, some people feel a little fatigue on the first dose or two. It typically passes as your body adapts.

A Little Reminder

This isn't about perfection, it's about consistency. MOTS-C gives your cells a better engine — protein, water, movement, and sleep are still the fuel. You're not lazy and you're not broken. I'm really glad you're here. 💛
