Quick Facts
| Vial | 10 mg |
| Mix with | 2 mL BAC water |
| How often | Once weekly |
| Typical range | 1.0–2.5 mg (20–50 units) |
| Best known for | Strong appetite + food-noise control |
What Is It?
Mazdutide — "Maz" for short — is a research peptide that works on two metabolic pathways at once: the GLP-1 receptor (the appetite and satiety one you may know from Tirzepatide or Semaglutide) and the glucagon receptor (energy use and fat metabolism). That dual action is why a lot of people feel it strongly even at lower doses.
Who May Benefit?
People who are exploring Maz usually want help with:
- Appetite and "food noise" that won't quiet down
- Fat loss and metabolic efficiency
- Feeling satisfied with smaller meals
If GLP-1-only peptides felt like they stopped working, Maz's second pathway is often why people give it a look.
Benefits
- Appetite and food-noise reduction
- Fat loss and metabolic support
- Improved satiety with smaller portions
- Often feels stronger per mg than GLP-1-only peptides
How It Works
Maz activates both the GLP-1 receptor (satiety, appetite control) and the glucagon receptor (energy use, fat metabolism). Because it's hitting two pathways, the appetite suppression and metabolic signaling often show up at lower milligram doses than you'd expect coming from Tirzepatide.
What to Expect
Appetite usually quiets down first — sometimes more than you expect. Many people find they stabilize at a lower dose than they planned to. The first 1–2 weeks can come with a little fatigue while your body adjusts. Less is genuinely more here.
💛 T's Tip
Maz is a strong one, babe. This is not the peptide to chase a bigger number with — the appetite suppression can sneak up on you, and the mistake I see most is people accidentally under-eating and then feeling awful. Start low, hold there longer than you think you need to, and let your body tell you if you even need to go up. Protein and water aren't optional on this one. Your body is your dosing chart. 💛 — T
Mixing
Add 2 mL BAC water to the 10 mg vial. Aim the water down the inside wall of the vial, don't shake it — swirl gently until it's clear. Store in the fridge after mixing.
At this mix, 1 unit = 0.05 mg, so 20 units = 1.0 mg.
Dosing (not medical advice)
Once weekly. Start gentle and only move up if hunger or food noise comes back.
| Dose | Units | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 mg | 20 | Gentle entry — assess tolerance |
| 1.5 mg | 30 | Common starting range |
| 2.0 mg | 40 | Often comparable to mid-range TZ |
| 2.5 mg | 50 | Appetite suppression can be strong |
| 3.0 mg | 60 | Many people never need this high — use caution |
A common approach: start around 2.0 mg weekly, hold 2–3 weeks, and increase only if hunger or food noise returns.
How Long Will One Vial Last?
One 10 mg vial, at weekly dosing:
| Weekly dose | One vial lasts |
|---|---|
| 1.0 mg | ~10 weeks |
| 1.5 mg | ~6–7 weeks |
| 2.0 mg | ~5 weeks |
| 2.5 mg | ~4 weeks |
| 3.0 mg | ~3 weeks |
Side Effects
Some people report:
- Nausea or an empty-stomach feeling
- Reduced appetite leading to accidentally under-eating
- Temporary fatigue in the first 1–2 weeks
Hydration, protein, and electrolytes make a real difference here.
Storage
Keep the reconstituted vial in the refrigerator (36–46°F / 2–8°C). Swab the stopper before each draw, use a fresh sterile syringe every time, and keep it out of direct light.
Helpful Tips
- Eat protein first, every meal
- Stay ahead on water and electrolytes
- Don't let the appetite suppression trick you into skipping meals — you still need to fuel
- Less is more; stabilize before you climb
FAQ
Can I combine this with my other peptides? Using more than one peptide is common and perfectly fine — but different peptides should not be combined in the same syringe. A few technically can be mixed, but they don't always play well together, and in some cases they can work against each other, so you lose the benefit of both. It isn't worth the guesswork. Keep each peptide in its own syringe — you can still take them in the same sitting, one right after another. When in doubt, keep them separate.
Is Maz stronger than Tirzepatide? Many people say it feels stronger per mg because of the second (glucagon) pathway — which is exactly why the doses are lower.
Why is my dose so much smaller than my TZ dose? The dual-receptor action means strong appetite and metabolic signaling at fewer milligrams. Lower is expected.
What if the appetite suppression feels like too much? That's your cue to hold or come down, not push through. Reach out.
A Little Reminder
This isn't magic and it isn't an appetite shot you set and forget — you still get to participate in your own success. Protein, water, movement, and checking in are what make it stick. You're not lazy and you're not broken. I'm really glad you're here. 💛
